Can you tell me the difference between bogus, fake and phony? thanks for your help :)

They all mean more/less the same thing. There are a few situational differences, like where you say "fake ID" more than "phony ID", but everyone would understand and accept any of these words as synonyms...

I agree. These words mean the same. Note that the word "bogus" is very casual. I would consider it slang.
