to teach a lesson/ to give a lesson
I wonder if it sounds natural to say "teach lessons" when someone offers his assistance as a teacher? I'd rather say "give lessons"...
Are words "teach" and "give" interchangeable in such a context?

Most natural is "teach a subject," "teach a class," and "give a lesson." I teach English and French; I teach a beginning English class in the morning; I give private English and French lessons in the evening.
My grandmother taught me to cook. My grandmother gave me cooking lessons.
My father taught me to drive. He gave me driving lessons.

I think teach is better than give, because he/she is a teacher so they will help you with explanation. but give a lesson like if anyone give you a lesson not a professional person
