How to say "every flower must grow through dirt" in Italian?
I've heard multiple options with the word "la terra" - land/earth, but I'm looking for a word for 'dirt' as it is in the headline. So I would love to have the perfect translation for this one!

It's hard to translate literally. Keeping the meaning, which I think is pretty clear, could be "ogni fiore sboccia facendosi strada tra i rovi" .

I'm answering your question giving you an example relative to the same semantic problem,
and show you how Mister 'Fabrizio De Andre' ' (a good and famous Italian folksinger
who does not live anymore) solved it.
I the final lines of his well known song 'Via Del Campo' he sings:
"
dai diamanti non nasce niente
dal letame nascono i fiori
"

Sporco, sporcizia, o fango ...? Anyway, maybe "Ogni fiore deve crescere nello sporco." The white link at the bottom of the image expands to show their translation, if you click on it >>> https://it.depositphotos.com/108891866/stock-illustration-spring-flowers-daffodils-grows-on.html
