A prize would be given to everyone who <gets> <got> the right answer.
Here is a sentence in the present/future tense:
A prize will be given to everyone who gets the right answer.
What should I change to be able to use "would" instead of "will"?
1. A prize would be given to everyone who gets the right answer.
2. A prize would be given to everyone who got the right answer.
Notice what I've done to the "get." The sentences are still in the present/future, but because of "would," they are hypothetical. Which sentence is correct? If both are correct, do they mean the same thing?
