What are they? How do they work? Is it important I know the differances? anything you can tell me will help, this is the first i have heared these expressions.@ wozitoya lol not quite what i meant lol but thanks!! Verbs ended with the る stems -(1) ら (2) り (3) る (4) る (5)  れ (6) れ
Verbs ended with the すstems -(1) さ  (2) し (3) す (4) す (5)  せ (6) せ
Verbs ended with the く stems -(1) か  (2) き (3) く (4) く  (5)  け (6) け
Verbs ended with the ぬstems -(1) な  (2) に (3) ぬ (4) ぬ(5) ね (6) ね
...stems with..「つ」、「す」、「ぐ」、「む」、「ぶ」、「う」

Japanese grammar, each verbs may have six different ways to conjugate. For example: 話す, its stems is す
(1) 話さない (2) 話します、 話 しません、 話しま しよう、話しましだ  (3)。。。(4)。。。(5) 話せます、話せません (6)。。。

聞く, it's stems is く
