What should I write in a notice like this Hi everyone I'm trying to write a notice to give a warning to my colleges not to interfere with a light switch in the hall. What are the possible ways to go about writing this polite or even less polite like "do not touch this!" They are just meddling with this switch for no reason

You can briefly explain the reason, that will make it more polite. Please, do not touch this switch because...If you need to turn on/off the light, call Mr. A (room 000).
