It this sentence OK?
Hello dear native speakers
Is it OK to say :
I built myself a house.
Or
I built a house for myself.
Or
Both are possible and correct?

Hello!
Your sentences would be correct if you physically built the house yourself. If a contractor or builder built the house for you then you would say: "I had a house built for myself", as Ashton suggested in her answer.
I hope that helps!

do you want to say: I built the house all by myself?
that means the house was built by you, only one person built that house , the person is just you!

Hi,
Yes, both are correct. The second sentence puts more emphasis on the fact that it is for yourself, but there is no substantial difference in meaning or usage.

The first sounds better as others have said, both are correct.

Hi Nimas, both are possible and correct. :) You could also say "I had a house built for myself" if you did not build the house yourself (with your own hands, for example), and hired someone to build it for you.
