Chicken out
Are these sentences grammatically correct?
1. It's too late to chicken out of traveling by airplane now, we're almost there.
2. Albert is always chickening out of everything. He agreed to help me play a prank on Joseph but then was afraid because he would get in trouble.
3. At the last moment they got chickened out at the fear of getting beaten.
4. At the last moment they chickened out at the fear of getting beaten.
5. At the last moment they chickened out fearing of getting beaten.

Hello Hasib!
I would say that #1 & #2 are correct.
But the rest of the sentences should be written like this:
3. At the last moment, they chickened out for fear of getting beaten.
4. At the last moment, they chickened out because they feared getting beaten.
5. At the last moment, they chickened out fear of getting beaten.
In #3 & #5 "for fear of" is the same as "because they feared"
