How to introduce myself in Japanese properly?
I'd like to know how to say these sentences in Japanese:
1) I'm 17 years old.
2) I live in Finland.
3) I'm a high school student.
4) I'm interested in languages.I wrote the sentences in Japanese characters. Could you please tell me if there are mistakes. Thanks.
1) 私は十七さいです。
2) 私はフィンランドに住んでいます。
3) 私は高校生です。
4) 私は日本語にきょうみがあります。

Of course, when we are introducing ourselves we must be on our best behavior so formality is expected.
words to know:
hajimemashite -pleased to meet you
say this at the beginning of the introduction and never say it again. This is for first time meeting the person only.
'douzo yoroshiku onegai shimasu' is also essential to include in your introduction. literally means 'please be kind to me'. So far I only heard this at the end of the introduction--there are variations on the phrase. Sometimes I like to use just yoroshiku but I need clarification if that is appropriate before I give you the OK xD
the in-between stuff, basically what I said before with the 'desu' you talk about yourself briefly.
This is based on meeting people directly (through email, chat, irl), I don't know about introduction through profile..I'm certain you just talk about yourself, again...need clarification.

1) watasi ha jyuu nana sai desu.
2) watasi ha Finland ni sunde imasu.
3) watasi ha koukou-sei desu.
4) watasi ha nihon-go ni kyoumi ga arimasu.
2) In Japanese, Finland is Finland.
4) the languages means Japanese? or Japanese and English ant etc...
Japanese is "nihon-go".
Good luck!!
