Les devoirs, describing yourself in french? Hi was wondering how would I say "My hair is black." I know you can say, "I have black hair" -> "J'ai a les cheveux sombre." Was actually wondering if "My hair is black" is also said the same way, or is there another way to describe yourself?

Oui ,on peut dire "j'ai les cheveux noirs" ou"mes cheveux sont noirs" cheveux (pluriel ,en français!)

now i see why you asked the other question :) in languages like french and spanish, they use the article where we don't in english. so there are some cases where the language patterns don't match brosser les dents = brushing your teeth lever la main = raise your hand notice that body parts use the definite article instead of the possessive. that is why it 's "j'ai les cheveux noir".
