Today, I gave a presentation in class.
I forgot my script and had to stop a few times, but I was able to finish it.
I want to do better in my next presentation.
Alternative Version (more natural):
- - - -
I gave a presentation in class today.
I forgot some of my script and had to pause a few times, but I still managed to finish.
Next time, I hope to do even better.

“Do better” is the correct phrase (not “want to better”). Use “was able to” or “managed to” for successful effort. “Still” adds emphasis when something goes wrong but ends well.
