May 29th, 2021 Menuhin Competition has already finished. This is one of the most prestigious violin competition, so there are participants on highest level as technical as professionals. This is the competition I have watched since I knew Chloe Chua. It was going to hold in 2020, but it was postponed to 2021 because of the pandemic. It held online for the first time in the history. It seemed to change some assigned pieces for online. I found that the competition has already finished, and I checked the result. I thought participants and juries was feeling difficulty of competing online. We can't value music easily. However valuing music online is much more difficult. Eventually, Holding a music competition online isn't easy for players and juries. The participants of Menuhin are all supreme violinists, so I can get motivation for practicing violin alone like "I want to play like them!". In spite of beginner, I have to practice violin without any teachers. Practicing violin alone isn't good for beginner, but this is also because of covid19.
