What would be an appropriate way of telling someone in the mail to revert back? Suppose I have sent an email to someone and he needs to reply back with some of the information as sought/required, and I want him/her to send the information to the same mail. Can I use the following sentence? Please revert back to this email. Is the above sentence correct? Is there any other alternative to convey the said message at the end of the mail? Thanking you in advance for your HELP!

To revert back is not correct in this context. It means to go back to a previous state or condition. You could say "Please forward me the information by replying to this email." "Please send me the information at this email address." "Please send me the information by email, by replying to this message." "Please respond with the information by replying to this email" (If it is an informal setting you can also say:) "Please get back to me with the information when you have a chance, by replying to this email." There are many ways you can say it. I hope this is helpful. Happy studying! :) Lydia

I would say, please reply to his e-mail.

I would say “Please respond.” Although exactly how to say that depends on how urgent it is to get a response and if they have already taken time to respond. If I just need a response within a few days you might say “if possible please respond by Friday, because [insert your reason here]” And many other variations. Note I’ve worked with colleagues from India who use the word “revert” as you did. I got used to it but for Americans “respond” sounds more natural.
