Nowadays, providing internet for children is a controversial topic. I know a few children who are not allowed to use any electronic devices while other can play games or watch videos on their tablets without any limit. Some parents think that children can be easily addicted to videos and games online which might seriously affect their children's academic performances. Other parents think that since we live in a period where we are surrounded by different kinds of electronic devices, we are all going to use the internet sooner or later and that includes children. They think that if children are interested in something they have the right to learn about and give it a try and only after trying can they know how to use it properly. I have seen some of my friends who received a very strict education and when they attended university, they lost their ability to resist temptation without the supervision of their parents. They didn't know what discovering new things meant to them and couldn’t make the difference between the pros and cons of what they had just discovered. They did somethings really wrong! Internet is a double-edged sword and only when children use it can parents find the problems and help their children figure them out!
