One of the most prominent planet conjunction has taken place this Monday. This early morning, Saturn and Venus have been separated in the sky by a distance of 1.3º, less than three times the full moon size. If we observe the sky assidously, we are aware that stars make figures that remain equals along the time. However the planets don't. They get around stars, changing position continuosly. The "planet" word etimology means wandering. The cause is easy to understand. Why airplane windows are oval? There are a lot of people who board whishing having a seat next to a window, to allow them to stare at night lights of a city or just to admire the snow-covered peaks of a mountain. But there are only a few who know why airplane windows have a oval shape. The selection of a oval shape for a airplane window is not a frivolous design selection. What seems to be a ornamental design is a consequence of airplane design evolution. The oval windows are an engineering innovation which save lives. If the airplane windows were rectangular as our house windows, the airplane would have been disintegrated in the air. To allow planes to flight to high altitude, airlines had to make changes in the design. The rectangular o square windows are problematic in hight altitude flights, due to the slight difference between the atmospheric and inside cabin pressure. This makes that windows frames are subject to a high pressure. This tension is bigger in pointed squares. Nevertheless this tension fluids smoothly over a circular or oval shape

Tiangong-1 space station is going to crash into the Earth next weekend According to the last predictions the Chinese space station is going to crash into the Earth next weekend. Experts remind that the possibility that someone would be hurt is minimum. The Chinese space station will fall to the Earth between 31th and 1st of April early morning. It will fall in a area situated between latitudes 42,8° north and 42,8° south. This area includes the whole Asia and Oceania, one big American area and the South of Europe. There are not astronauts inside. During the Tiangong-1 life, there have been two different misions with crew, one in 2012 and another in 2013 (in both cases the crew was formed by three men). From 2013, no human being has been in that space station. This year China launched Tiangong-2 to substiute it. The majority of the space station will desintegrate while touching the atmposphere. However, it is a possibility that some solid remains arrive to the Earth surface, likely to the ocean.

Yuri Gagarin, the short astronaut with a charming smile Today have been 50 years since Yuri Gagarin death. The 27th of March of 1968 the Yuri Gagarin flight crashed while he was piloting the plane. The circumstances around the accident were confusing and not obvious. Yuri Alexeyevich Gagarin was the perfect example of a Soviet man, perfect to play the role of an astronaut thrown to conquer the outer space while cold war was taken place. Young, with an overwhelming charm and a smile that Sergei Korolev described as "gleaming", he probed being able to dominate orbital flight complexities and the demanding physical tests. Yuri had his origins in a humble family and became a Soviet Army Official after being an aprentice in a foundry. He was a good public relations and had experience as a pilot and parachutist. Although he was short (around 160cm), this was convenient due to the reduce sapce in Vostok space capsule. In contrast with his colleages, he was never involved in a public scandal. The 12th of 1961, Yuri Gagarin was the first man to complete a whole one orbit around the Earth.
