Alin

Alin went straight to the point and managed to extract from me things that I even didn't know were somewhere in my brain. I had the feeling it was a very "organic" lesson, that developed according to my own needs. Let's see where it will go next. :)

It was a very rich first lesson (with a lot of informations). Alin explains very well and slowly so that I can understand. I'm looking forward the next class.

interesting enough lesson. I felt really limited by my vocabulary initially, but later on context and word-root guesswork enabled me to make sense of the (basic) sentences. We tackled the accusative and locative. There's still some memorising to do but I understand how they work and how they're formed. Hopefully I'll be able to master soon.

Alin is an extraordinary teacher that I recommend to everyone. She is extremely dedicated and knowledgeable. All her resources and comments are insightful. She has a deep understanding of Slovene language in terms of grammar, history etc...Always a pleasure to learn with her.

Good lesson. We kind of went off-topic on a diatribe about the differences between Slavic languages but as a linguist in training that kind of stuff just fascinates me. Overall, Alin is helpful in that she lays out plans to solve issues you might face but hands-off in that she gives you the freedom to choose whatever you think would best work for you. My pronunciation has become better after two lessons and I am feeling more secure in pronouncing individual words with good accuracy provided I know the necessary information, which in practice is solely the placement of the accent. I would still recommend Alin if you're looking for a knowledgeable teacher and I am curious to know what our lessons will look like once we get to the meat and bones of the language.
