Taka it Easy

I'm coming up on 200 lessons with Taka-san and have enjoyed every one! I still look forward to each lesson and feel that I have improved a lot since I began lessons with him. Taka-san is very easy to get along with, he has a relaxed style and guides you to speaking natural Japanese like a native. You will need to expose yourself to natural Japanese because everyday spoken Japanese is not what is taught in textbooks. Taka-san does a great job of guiding you to speak naturally and shows you how Japanese conversations normally flow. He will guide you to the correct words and phrases to use. He is constantly reminding me about 'aizuchi', or the short responses/phrases you need to use to ensure the speaker knows you are listening, because I always forget. I understand so much more conversational Japanese after taking lessons with Taka-san. You won't regret taking a lesson with Taka-san, that's why I keep doing it!

Today I have completed 200 lessons with Taka sensei. Reflecting on my language learning journey with him, I want to share that his patience, guidance, reliability and style suits me very well. I am more confident to use the language today whenever I have a chance.

I had my first trial lesson and it was a very relaxed 30 minutes. I went in quite nervous but by the end I left feeling a lot encouraged. I highly recommend Taka sensei’s lessons for those wanting to practice conversing in Japanese. 今日のレッスン本当に楽しかったです☺️

最近400レッスンを超えました。記念すべきことだと思うのでこの度感謝の気持ちを沢山込めて書かせていただきます。会話を中心して細かいことまで、相槌などなど教えてもらって気づいたらコミュニケーションを取れるようになってきました。お陰様で日本にいる間に映画を見に行ったりコンサートに行ったり色んなイベントを参加したりすることもできて友達も出来ました。Taka先生いつもありがとうございます！これからも何卒宜しくお願い致します。

TAKA老师针对我的日语表达给予了细致的指导：提醒我在提到对方家人时可以尝试刻意使用敬语去练习；转向口语对话时，则需要注意句末疑问句和语气词的自然运用。这种针对特定表达风格的刻意模仿练习，让我觉得很有收获——朝着一个目标反复尝试和调整，一开始生硬的表达会逐渐变得熟练，甚至内化为一种自然的习惯。和TAKA老师交流中出现频率最高的内容就是“饮食”，或许正应了“民以食为天”这句话，TAKA老师常常会关心我晚餐吃了什么。他对外国的饮食方式和具体菜式一直抱有浓厚的兴趣。如果一时不知聊些什么，谈谈食物的确很惬意。相比其他领域，多学习和积累一些饮食相关的词汇实用价值很高，对日常交流也大有裨益。

Taka Sensei lessons are really effective for me. During our class time, I am always encouraged to speak more, read aloud more, express more, ask more questions and recently: write more. I feel the teacher truly cares about my growth and long term goals. We are building a good foundation for both casual and professional conversations. He is helping me discover how to make my Japanese sound more flowing, warm, simple, friendly and funny. I’ve taken lessons with other teachers, but with Taka Sensei I can truly feel a deeper bond and support as a student and human. I am so happy I have found Taka Sensei!
