I am Karolína, a 29-year-old language enthusiast originally from the Czech Republic, currently residing in Mexico. My passion lies in in language acquisition and cultural exploration. Over the past seven years, I have cultivated extensive experience teaching English both online and face-to-face. When it comes to the Spanish language, I specialize in instructing and utilizing the Latin American variant. Shifting to my native language, Czech, I bring two years of teaching experience to the table. I use multimedia like movie clips for phrasal verb instruction, stories for reading and pronunciation, and assign audio tasks as homework. Karoliná Poláchová is an exceptional teacher. For the past few months, Karoliná has been my Czech teacher and my proficiency in the language has improved significantly. Had my first lesson with Karolína today and it was great! I have been studying Czech on my own on and off for a while, and I always get intimidated by grammar and cases. Today I had several lightbulb moments where Karolína’s explanations made seemingly complicated ideas make sense to me. I also appreciate her focus on flowing communication rather than going immediately into structured grammar. l look forward to more lessons with her. Děkuju Karolína!
