Great lesson with Ranim! We finished reading the article about "Canadian children learning programming" and also read an article about "Americans working remotely". Ranim also checked to see what I understood of the articles before telling me. Ranim does a great job of finding interesting material to use for the lesson, and she is patient as I sound out words while reading!

Great lesson with Ranim! We finished reading a story about "sleep study". After that, we started reading a new story about "bee population". I still struggle reading some numbers, but Ranim really encouraged me. Ranim is doing great at helping me with understanding the material and with pronunciation!

Great lesson with Ranim! We read an article about a city that banned "using a mobile phone while walking". We also read an article about a "sign language translation app/glove". Ranim helped me with pronunciation. She also gave a lot of encouragement and positive feedback!

Great lesson with Ranim! We read an article about "high school start time". After that, we started reading an article about "teaching programming to kids". Ranim helped me with pronunciation and also explained the parts that I didn't understand. Ranim always does an excellent job of giving positive reinforcement when I get words right or show improved understanding!

Great lesson with Ranim! We read a story about a burger place that was selling a "Corona burger" during the pandemic. It was funny and interesting. Ranim always does a great job of helping me to improve my pronunciation and giving me positive feedback!

We are still learning the basics, though that is due to like 3 or 4 breaks in a year and a third and having to relearn the basics each time. Inshallah I don’t have to take a break again, but if I do I need to break through in what I am learning. I am learning verb conjugation right now and I am going to read an Arabic-English Bible and watch a couple cartoons per her suggestion to learn more vocabulary. I was using a couple apps, but they include the transliteration right below the Arabic and on the tests they only have the transliteration. Thanks to Ranim, I can finally read Arabic script and now it is just a matter of learning vocabulary
