Tomás Segura

I've had the pleasure of learning Spanish from Tomas for a few months now so thought it was time to update my review. He's an amazing teacher with a talent for explaining complex grammar rules clearly and concisely. Since working with him, I've noticed significant improvement in my understanding of the language. Tomas ensures you truly grasp each concept before moving on, building a strong foundation. His balance of fun activities and engaging exercises keeps the learning process enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend Tomas to anyone seeking to enhance their Spanish skills. His dedication, expertise, and passion make him an exceptional educator. I'm grateful for his guidance and look forward to continuing my journey in mastering Spanish with him. :)

I count myself so lucky to have Tomas as my teacher. He always gives 100% effort, which is more than I can say for myself! However, he is patient when I forget things I should have already know, or when I have an off day. Most italki tutors just do conversation practice. Tomas comes prepared with grammar lessons and relevant homework. His English is near native level, so there’s never any difficulty explaining things in a way I can understand. He also remembers things about my life and asks me practice questions that are specific to my situation. It’s easy to forget he has a whole roster of other students he is also teaching! Thank you Tomás for all your assistance! I look forward to my lessons.

Tomás has been my teacher from the beginning of my Spanish journey. He has been able to adapt to my needs throughout the process. He's a great conversation partner, but also knows the Spanish language well and can answer any grammar question. He really takes the time to prepare for his lessons and always has fun activities planned. He's listed as a community tutor but he's the most "professional" quality teacher I've come across.

Excellent teacher, interesting conversations.

Tomás is my favorite italki tutor so far. He's engaging, patient, and approachable. I was able to talk about my passions and get the kind of thoughtful responses I would get from a friend engaged in a philosophical conversation. When I got a word wrong, he would type it correctly into the chat without losing focus on what I was saying. I really appreciated the balance between facilitating communication and helping with my grammar. I think a lot of tutors either discourage their students by constantly interrupting to correct them or allow them to keep making mistakes as long as it's still understandable. This was a perfect middle ground for me. Thank you!
