Hello! I’m Sonti, a passionate and dedicated Afrikaans tutor from the vibrant landscapes of South Africa. My love for languages began in my multilingual household, where I grew up speaking Afrikaans, English, and isiXhosa—each holding a special place in my heart. This early exposure ignited my curiosity and appreciation for linguistic diversity, shaping my journey into language education. My academic path started at Rhodes University, where I earned my first degree with majors in Legal, Politics & International Studies, as well as Afrikaans & Netherlands. Currently, I’m furthering my passion for teaching by pursuing a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Stellenbosch University.Показать перевод

Just had my first lesson with Sonti, she is an absolutely amazing teacher! You can tell she loves teaching and sharing the language because she brings so much enthusiasm and joy to her teaching, she was also so encouraging and patient with me when I struggled with some of the the pronunciation and I can't wait for our next lesson. I already feel so much more confident that I will be able to speak Afrikaans

What a sunshine, Sonti! she gave me classes even though she was sick. I´m looking forward to see what comes next as a challenge when learning this interesting language of hers! With Sonti it seems to be much easier to embrace a new learning journey. Baie dankie, Sonti! Lekker taal :)

Sonti did a good job of pushing me out of my comfort zone and encouraging me to have a simple conversation in Afrikaans. I was scared at first but she helped with her positive words. Thank you Sonti!
