I'm a native English speaking American born and raised in California!
I lived in California for 35 years until I moved to Thailand 4 years ago! In Thailand I have been teaching myself Thai for the last three years and have been thoroughly enjoying the challenge and experience!
I love the outdoors and I am an avid backpacker. I enjoy exploring Thailand on my motorbike and have a big interest in personal health and fitness.Показать перевод

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Language Education and a 120-hour TESOL certificate.
I have more than 3 years of formal teaching experience. I taught adults at an online ESL company called Hujiang for more than two years and have been teaching for more than one year at an online ESL company called Likeshuo.
I have helped students get IELTS Band 7 scores and above. I have helped students pass US visa English interviews as well as important English job interviews!Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
I teach adults (I have no prepared material for kids)
Student camera is OPTIONAL.
My lessons are NOT just "free-talk" lessons, although that is something we can do if you would like.
My lessons include pre-class PPTs and other preparation material.
My lessons include regular reviews of previous lessons, quizzes and exams, regular presentation practice, role-playing and many other techniques to help ingrain the language.
I focus heavily on helping my students to improve their spoken English . However, along with helping to improve spoken English, I also pay much attention to helping my students improve their grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary.Мой учебный материал

Joy is the best English teacher I've ever met! He is professional ,patient and friendly. He pays high attention to details. Whenever I make any mistakes in grammar or pronunciation, he'll correct them in time. The learning materials he provided were very useful.

Best teacher ever! In this class we had a deep conversation about the topic and I learned a lot of new expressions in the process. Joe always gives a very quick feedback and the exact expressions I'm looking for, and he pays attention to the details and finds out the strength and weakness about me, it seems we have known each other for a long time.
