Josué Acevedo

I love Josué's style. He starts with a short conversation letting new vocabulary come up naturally. We then review the short homework assignment from last class. Then we have a short lesson from a book. I think this combination of activities is a fantastic way to learn. He is patient, knowledgable, and very fun to work with. Highly recommend!

This month I completed my 100th Spanish lesson with Josué. Having him as my teacher has really helped me improve my Spanish over the past year. He is extremely patient and we always have interesting things to chat about in the lessons. When I travelled to Mexico recently for a short vacation, I was able to communicate with the locals in Spanish. Several even complimented me saying that my Spanish was "very good" :)

Josué's teaching style and approach is well balanced between patience (listening to what you have to say) and assertiveness (correcting for mistakes or offering better alternatives of saying something). He is prepared for each conversation class but also naturalistic in letting the conversation flow. The conversations are fun and time flies by. I recommend highly for anyone looking to advance their Spanish conversation skills.

Thank you a million for every hour you spend teaching me Spanish. When I first started taking lessons with you, I was at high A1 level and when I just took a test I was level B1!! I am so proud of the progress I have made, but it wouldn't be possible without you. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND lessons with Josue Acevedo, you will NOT be disappointed.
