Hi, My name is Stephan and I have been teaching German as a foreign language since 2019. I am studying to become a German teacher for school children in "Gymnasium", ages 10-18. You can learn both formal German, "Hochdeutch", and Austrian German with me. As a teacher I am interactive and I want to provide fun lessons for all my students. My interests include traveling, meeting new people and trying local foods wherever I travel to.

I have taught German to students of all language levels; from complete beginners to advanced (A1 to C1).
Lesson types have included one-on-one; groups; and company lessons with class sizes up to 20 students. Student ages have varied from 11 to 65 years old.
I have taught both privately and at several different language schools (Berlitz, Inspire GmbH and Goethe Institute).
For the past 3 years I have been working at Goethe Institute's German summer camps for international teenagers in Obertauern, Salzburg.

I teach both conversation classes and grammar lessons or a mixture of both, depending on the students' needs. The main focus in my lessons is on communication, eg. speaking and listening. Most importantly, my lessons are customisable to the students' needs and wishes. Betreuer/ CaretakerAdditional pedagogical experience for working with kids, part of a team of caretakers and teachers for international teenagers learning German as a Foreign language at a summer camp this July (2025) . Main duties were to provide a safe and meaningful daycare to young people from many different countries- In addition to help them effectively use German in their everyday communication. I have learned to better do that through various engaging activities, games and conversations.
