Mathilde is a very patient teacher, she waits for me to think about what I want to say without rushing me and if I really needed help she would give me hints, which was just what I needed to actually prompt myself to remember words. She writes down the things that I didn’t understand or I didn’t know how to say, which was helpful for me when I wanted to revise what I learned in class.

Mathilde is an amazing instructor. She is passionate about languages. This comes across when she is teaching. She has high expectations and does not allow her students to take the easy way out. But she is also kind and friendly and punctual. Many friends and family have remarked that my French has improved remarkably! I highly recommend her as a teacher.

Very helpful and supportive

Today's lesson was an excellent example of why Mathilde is so good. Today my French was horrible, I was not hearing French and I was forgetting my vocabulary and grammar, and my pronunciation was horrible. Yet Mathilde made me feel comfortable to continue to speak in French, even though I was embarrassed because my French was so bad today.

Mathilde is an absolutely wonderful French tutor! She has a way of making every lesson feel fun, relaxed, and genuinely engaging. Most importantly, she has made me excited to actually speak French, rather than worrying about getting every word or pronunciation perfect. She is patient, encouraging, and fantastic at creating a space where I feel comfortable making mistakes and trying again. I always leave our lessons feeling more confident and motivated to keep learning. If you're looking for a tutor who will make you want to speak French, I couldn't recommend Mathilde highly enough!
