JON LEE

Jon is a great Korean teacher. He makes the class fun and relevant to daily life. He is very patient and flexible. I really enjoy his classes!

Jon made the Korean I need to learn so accessible! He’s a great teacher because he combines explanations of new vocabulary, commonly used expressions and book-centric concepts (which I need for an upcoming exam). He’s also great with questions!

I am having so much fun in my classes with Jon 쌤. He is so funny and the connections he makes between words really helps me remember new vocab which has always been my weak point. I have been better at remembering slang phrases as well. It's only been a few lessons but my once stagnant Korean has finally started improving again. 감사합니다 선생님!

This was yet another great and fun lesson with Jon 쌤! I have been having so much fun with his classes, learning new slang and even some Gwangju dialect, which has been really interesting! Jon 쌤's humor makes every point he explains super memorable, which is great since I prefer to learn organically without too much note-taking (though I still recommend you take notes during class.) Jon 쌤 has been one of the most unique teachers I've worked with to date, so if you're looking for a teacher who can help engage you, I can't recommend him highly enough. 감사합니다 선생님!

Jon 쌤 continues to prepare fun and engaging classes that suit my needs as an advanced leaner who lacks casual vocab and phrase knowledge (I mainly learned from books). From Jon 쌤, I learn real Korean used everyday, which is really enriching my experience living here as I am starting to pick out and notice the things he is teaching me. I'm glad he has increased his availability recently! Thank you for another great class, 선생님!

It was another really fun class with Jon 쌤! Today he taught me some slang and other useful phrases, since I mostly know stuff that comes out of textbook. I especially enjoyed learning some local dialect from his hometown of Gwangju, even though he does generally speak in Seoul dialect. I really enjoy this teacher's way of expanding on topics and exploring them from multiple angles to help deepen my understanding and allow me to build connections - I think this will be especially good for my weak vocab skills going forward! I usually get really nervous with a new teacher but once again Jon 쌤 really put me at ease. 감사합니다 선생님 넘 재밌었어요 이번에는 숙제 꼭 하겠습니다 ㅋㅋ
