Hello, my name is Qi, and it means gems. I come from Dalian, a beautiful coastal city in China, and currently reside in Beijing, the capital of China. I enjoy traveling, food, movies, history, and sports. I have been to countries such as Austria, France, Australia, and the Netherlands. I have also been to many cities in China, including Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Xishuangbanna, and Xi'an. I can provide you with a lot of travel advice. I have experience in vis à vis Chinese teaching and foreign language learning. I have helped my foreign friends learn Chinese, including Pinyin, spoken language, Chinese character writing, and business Chinese. Kate's lessons are very good! She prepares materials and she also error corrects well in a friendly and personalised manner. I've spent a lot of time self-teaching, so being able to practice speaking Chinese to her is really enjoyable.

I personally enjoy Kate's lessons as she makes learning mandarin both enjoyable and rewarding. When she noticed I lacked confidence in advanced topics, she seamlessly adjusted to simpler, approachable material while still challenging me to grow. Kate was my first Chinese teacher on italki, and I really enjoyed our lesson. She was really friendly and was proactive in giving examples. She was also detailed when it comes to pronunciation and tone, which is essential when learning Chinese. She can also speak English well, so I can mix up English and Chinese
