I have a cheerful yet serious personality, and I became a Japanese teacher because I wanted to interact with people from other countries and learn about various cultures and customs. I am passionate about teaching Japanese. Drawing on many years of experience, I strive to make my lessons enjoyable and easy to understand. I discovered the fun of the Japanese language in Sydney. After returning to Japan, I taught group lessons at a Japanese language school (covering daily conversation, business conversation, JLPT preparation, etc.). Following that, I taught at an American school on a U.S. military base. Even for beginner-level students, I try to speak as much Japanese as possible that matches their level in the classroom. Ruko-sensei really has the experience it takes to answer any kind of questions about Japanese grammar and remove the confusion that often is in my head :-)

I can warmly recommend lessons with Ruko-sensei. She is prepared and organised during each lesson, while also leaving more than enough room for free conversation, so that a student can test his/her communication skills.
