Simona is an excellent teacher. She is not just someone to practice conversation with. She’s very kind, acknowledging and encouraging. She notes your mistakes and sends you pages of notes afterward with detailed examples, explanations and exercises. I find them extremely helpful. I think she really goes above and beyond what one would expect. I highly recommend her!

At risk of making my own scheduling of lessons with Simona more difficult, I have to say that she is the best. I am regularly in awe of her unmatched excellence in the teaching of the Italian language. Her thoroughness and the time and effort she devotes to explaining nuances is impressive. She provides pages of “linguistic gems” and cuts to the core of confusing issues. Her devotion to teaching is unparalleled.

Simona is a dream of a teacher. Smart, clever, funny, intelligent and caring. Someone who takes her work seriously and goes beyond the norm. She's a treat to work with. Grazie Simona.

Simona is DELIGHTFUL to work with! She listens attentively — she never interrupts — she is patient and extremely helpful — and she silently makes notes of all that the student does — and then sends the student these EXCELLENT notes after the class. We had a GREAT lesson (entirely in Italian) — having the type of conversation that you have with a longtime friend. She knows English and Spanish in case you want to ask her how to say certain things in Italian — I'll look forward to doing more lessons with her in the future — :)

Simona è una tutor straordinaria. Mi sono piaciute tantissimo le nostre tre lezioni. La conversazione è piacevole e Simona ha una granze capacità d'ascolto e fa intervenzioni molto pertinenti. After over four years of studying Italian with numerous teachers I am still of the opinion that Simona is the best there is. She devotes considerable time to each of her students, providing them follow-up lesson summaries to help them correct their mistakes and work on problem issues. She is also a pleasure to work with. You will not find a better teacher.
