I am a certified Korean language teacher, holding a teaching license from the National Institute of Korean Language. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I’ve helped students from diverse backgrounds, including Korean adoptees while I was in the USA.
As a teacher, I focus on motivation and active learning. I encourage students to think, apply, and solve challenges on their own because I believe hands-on practice leads to better understanding. We choose a topic together—news articles, blogs, videos, or books—and discuss it in depth. For beginners, we start with basic expressions and repeat them naturally throughout the lesson to build confidence.

Very happy with the progress I've made with Byeongho over the last year and a half. With his help, I've gone from only knowing Hangeul to being able to have my lessons mostly conducted in Korean. Byeongho is very flexible in tailoring his lessons to my goals, and I'm looking forward to my lessons with Byeongho in the future.

I really enjoy learning with Byeongho 선생님 . He challenges me in just the right way, encourages me when I get stuck, and always gets me speaking more Korean each lesson. I feel comfortable making mistakes because he corrects me kindly, and I can tell I’m improving. His classes are always fun and motivating, and I look forward to them every week.

Whilst my lessons with Byeongho are largely based around a textbook, he's always great with deviating from the textbook if I have any questions about grammar or concepts that I've encountered in my own time. I've been learning from Byeongho for over 2 years now and he's always been empathetic and encouraging. I'm looking forward to learning from Byeongho for the foreseeable future.
