Thuy is an incredibly gifted teacher. She always knows how to help me advance in my study of Vietnamese and she is very, very patient! Lessons with Thuy are always fun and interesting. She is the best teacher and also a very kind and generous person.

This was another terrific lesson with lots of conversation. Thank you so much for all of the time you take to help me learn and improve my speaking.

chị Thúy has a great way of keeping things light, fun, while still correcting my mistakes in a helpful way. I don’t feel judged when I mess up. instead, she just gently guides me toward sounding more fluid. That makes it much easier for me to actually speak instead of overthinking everything.

Thúy has helped me study Vietnamese for 8 months now. I started out only knowing “Xin chào” and “Cảm ơn”, and have now made a trip to Hanoi where I held basic conversations with native speakers. Thúy provides a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy for you to say “I don’t understand this, can you explain it?” Especially with the tones, where I felt embarrassed by how many times I had to practice, but she was always patient and helped me get it right. And she continues to correct me with pronunciation each lesson! You can’t learn a language in only a few hours each week, so you have to practice on your own outside of class, and Thúy recommended great resources to help me in studying Vietnamese outside of our class time.
