Thanks so much for a great first lesson, Line! I really appreciated how you let me talk and make lots of mistakes and then helped me work through them. Looking forward to our next lesson :-)

Ling is an excellent teacher, very patient and motivating. Although I have an HSK4 level in written Chinese, my pronunciation and tones, and my conversational skills, were lagging behind my written Chinese skills. So I needed to learn again the bases of Chinese pronunciation. Ling made this very motivating by being both friendly and very firm until I can perceive and reproduce well the correct Chinese pronunciation ofall 1664 Chinese syllables (with tones) and pronounce correctly series of syllables with different tones. Ling has a progressive and well-structured method with reading, dictation ans dialogue to teach beginners a perfect Chinese pronunciation and arrive progressively to dialogues with her where pronunciation is good. I strongly recommend any student of Chinese whatever his level to train its ear and phonology capabilities to Chinese sounds. Up to a medium intermediate level, an approximate sound recognition may not be an issue but it prevents any further progress later.

Always a pleasure talking to Ling. Having test over 20 teachers she is my favorite teacher and one of the best. Her English is also very good. This means, you can ask her how a particular sentence in English should be translated into chinese such that it has the exact same meaning & feeling in chinese to it (this is actually a very important and not very common skill!)
