Hi everyone, my name is Simona and I am a certified language teacher. I teach Italian, English and Spanish. I have been working as a teacher since 2014, I have taught all levels from complete beginners to advanced piano students. I am from Italy, but have lived abroad in England and Spain and taught Italian in both Italy and Spain. I am a really enthusiastic, focused teacher. I have a positive and creative approach to teaching and set high expectations, which inspire, motivate and challenge students.Показать перевод

I endeavour not to bore my students and I regularly vary interaction patterns in my lessons in order to vary the pace. In my 2 years of teaching in two different countries, I have worked with students of all ages, from young children to seniors and racially and ethnically diverse students. I have worked as a teacher of English as a foreign language at the Cambridge Academy in Naples and as a teacher of Italian as a second language at the US Navy in Naples. I am always engaged in continuous learning in order to broaden my knowledge and experience and always interested in innovative teaching methods. Beyond working directly with students, I also enjoy developing new course materials, using authentic materials and creating activities. Furthermore, I consider creativity an important aspect of writing and speaking. I encourage my students to use language creatively to express themselves. Indeed, I am very fond of free practice activities.
Cancellations and No-Shows policy:

One of my priorities over the years has been to be more comfortable with Italian in hopes of actively using the language in daily life. Media and apps help, but nothing has been so empowering as working with Simona. She is engaging yet patient throughout each lesson, which are relaxed and conversational; this has given me confidence and disarmed the feeling of being out of my comfort zone. I also find I'm naturally using the language more and more as time goes by, which did not happen when I took Italian university classes years ago. If you're looking to truly utilize English, Italian, or Spanish, Simona will be invaluable for realizing your potential!

Simona is an amazing teacher! During the class, she was very helpful with grammar and pronunciation. She is great with capturing all of your mistakes and providing corrections in the chat window. She also has structured classes if you have a specific goal. I really enjoyed our conversational practice and I look forward to many more classes with Simona (in multiple languages). Excellent teacher! 5 Stars!!

Simona is an excellent teacher. I am getting prepared for CILS certificate, level C1, and I find Simona's lessons very helpful and motivating. She knows well how to make the lessons fun and easy to follow. I recommend her for those interested in getting a certificate or learning Italian at any level.
