Sibel Kısacık

Sibel is an amazing teacher, I can't wait to book more lessons and become a regular student to get fluent in Turkish! I'm a false beginner in Turkish (I used to be very good at it...10 years ago!) and thought I had forgotten almost all of it, and that I would have to start from scratch all over again. But Sibel trusted my skills and challenged me with fun topics, questions, grammar and "woke up" a lot of vocabulary I thought I had forgotten. I also appreciated that I was invited to think how to say things in Turkish, instead of defaulting to English as a comfort zone, while the entire time the environment felt really safe, friendly and warm! Sibel is one of the best language teachers I have ever had! She comes prepared for every lesson with an organized lesson plan and is great with providing supporting materials after class. She has achieved the perfect pedagogical balance between providing learning content and encouragement. Her energy and humour is infectious and makes learning Turkish a lot of fun!

I did my first lesson with Sibel and was super nice! She is super kind and attentive to my goals and my doubts, I feel so secure even when I made a mistake, she encourages you to try it.. I’m looking forward for my next lessons with her! Teşekkürler!!

Sibel is one of the best language teachers I have had, after learning more than 9 languages over a decade. She encourages you to use what you've learned and actually speak the language! Her lessons are fun and interactive, and if you learn quickly, she can also make them more productive and challenging. She is always very energetic and positive in our classes. I cannot recommend a teacher more than Sibel.

I’m thoroughly enjoying my Turkish lessons with Sibel! She’s a fantastic teacher - Patient, firm, kind, funny, encouraging, and flexible. Sibel adjusts our lessons to my learning style and preferences, whilst teaching in logical and practical ways. She’s friendly, but doesn’t waste either of our time, which I like! Every lesson we revise before learning new things and Sibel always asks if I have questions and helps however she can. I always come away from our lessons feeling like I’ve learnt a lot. Sibel is a great teacher for ADHD/ND brains and I deeply appreciate her flexibility, patience, friendliness, and consistency in the way she teaches. I highly recommend Sibel!
