Yuuki@Anime Sensei

Thanks for such a fun lesson, Yuuki-sensei! I wasn't sure what I would get when I booked this lesson because the lessons seem more talking based but the lesson was more thorough than I thought it would be and I learned a lot about something I was interested in which makes learning more fun and easier! If you're interested in anime, Yuuki-sensei is very knowledgeable but he's also focused on making sure you have a solid foundation and also incorporates grammar and review into his lessons. He goes over what your goals are and what you know and fills in any gaps in a very natural way that is around the context of your interests. The lesson flew by and I enjoyed myself a lot. I also got some fun homework in the form of some more anime to watch! It was an otaku dream lesson. 10/10 would recommend.

We talked about a lot of different subjects. Most interestingly, the discussion on how people are raised differently in America vs Japan was a fun topic.

First class has left me SUPER motivated! ive been really nervous to start speaking but this was a 10'/10 expreince and i cant wait to book more and continue my Japanese journey with Yuukisan!

Yuuki Sensei is awesome! The lesson was conversation guided which is exactly what I need to make my Japanese far more practical. There is a perfect blend between known vocabulary and knew vocabulary. Yuuki Sensei asked my interests and hobbies so that we can use them as a means to use practical Japanese and have real-life conversations. I felt very comfortable using what little Japanese I knew right from the start and Yuuki Sensei never made me feel self-conscious about my skill level and guided me in the correct directions when I needed it. I immediately booked more lessons! I look forward to working with Yuuki Sensei!

Pretty sure I've already written a review, thought I'd update it as I've had a few lessons. Absolutely fantastic teacher, 100% recommend! Very charismatic, talks through things, presents his screen to show materials and makes conversation fun. Extremely good english skills with a strong grasp of grammar in both English and Japanese- my lessons have been very conversation based but he does bring out material from books and sites to help explain grammar. After a few lessons, I'm still very happy with his teaching style and feel like I'm learning a lot. Would definitely recommend-!

Extremely knowledgeable of both American and Japanese culture and very relatable. Very fun to talk with!
