Ciao I'm 39 and I come from the seaside in the south of Rome.
(Currently living between Bologna and Rome).
I have a degree in foreign languages and literature and I am CEDILS and TEFL certified.
I am a dedicated bilingual Italian L2/LS and ESOL teacher with intercultural experience, excellent communication, and linguistic skills with a proven track record of providing high-quality learning.
I assisted students from 37 countries on their language journeys using English and Spanish as the common language.
Before becoming a teacher I lived and worked around Europe for 10 years in Italy, the UK, Spain, and Germany. I speak English, Spanish, and a bit of French.Показать перевод

As a teacher, I'm empathetic, patient, and flexible, I offer structured and tailored lessons for all levels and purposes.
We will functionally practice the language, having fun, so you'll be more confident with your social life and career.
LESSON TYPE:

-GENERAL ITALIAN - Italian for all purposes and reasons.
-PARLIAMO ITALIANO - LET’S SPEAK ITALIAN.
-DILLO COME UN ITALIANO (using the expressions a local would use) Idiomatic language + functional language.
-GRAMMAR DEEPENING AND PRACTICE IN CONTEXTS.
-SMALL GROUPS LESSON min 2 max 4 students.
-FACE-TO-FACE LESSONS (in Bologna or Rome).

OUR SESSIONS:
During the first part of our lessons, we will work on your conversational skills to build confidence, and I will identify the grammar aspects that need work. In the second half, we will focus on grammar, reading comprehension using articles, role-plays, and I can assign written homework according to your level. We will work on the functional language for everyday situations, learning grammar and vocabulary while improving your real-life conversation and speaking.
We will share the screen using a teaching platform, and you will have access to interactive lessons, articles, videos, and exercises. You can do your homework offline and review the lesson any time you want.Мой учебный материал

I reached out to Americo to help me prepare for my next trip to Italy and he is the perfect tutor for this situation. He has worked in the hospitality industry in the past and therefore very helpful - very ideal, when it comes to "role playing" excercises for various conversations I may have during my trip. I feel very at ease and supported during the lessons, which seems to go fast - Americo is great at keeping the conversation going. I have improved so much just in the few lessons I've had with him and feel more confident with my Italian. After my trip, my language learning goal is to move up to a higher level for Italian and I can already tell that Americo will help me get there.

Learning Italian is one of hardest and most challenging thing I have ever done, but thanks to Americo it continues to be an enjoyable and rewarding experience. He is a very patient and encouraging, empathetic and kind teacher. Americo’s professionalism, intuitive nature and attention to detail means that every single lesson is productive and purposeful, but also fun and interesting. He is very good at identifying what I need to work on, when I need to be challenged and when I need help.
I really value and appreciate Americo’s support and encouragement, especially when I am struggling and finding things difficult, he always manages to find a way to turn these moments of frustration into a positive experience. This has really helped me develop my confidence in Italian, which in turn makes me feel more at home and happy in Italy. Grazie Mille Americo! :-)

I’ve been taking lesson with Americo for 2 years. His thoughtful tutelage has been instrumental in my language learning journey. I’ve gone from knowing nothing to being able to hold my own in Italian conversation over that time, and I can’t imagine where I would be without Americo. A great teacher and friend.
