Hello, my name is Joost and I'm from the Netherlands. Languages, especially the Dutch and English have always been a passion of mine. I am fluent in both for speaking, reading, listening and writing. About eight years ago I had the first opportunity to teach primarily Dutch and a bit of English to foreign refugees as a volunteer. This I found challenging, really fun to do and allowed me to built some experience in teaching. I've been teaching language on Italki for more than five years now. I've had experience in teaching to teenagers and adults of all educational levels.Показать перевод

My characteristics are Patient, Supportive, Precise, Humoristic, Interactive and Looking for a fun time. I am a selftaught semi-professional teacher, so this will make your learning experience more original. I am able to answer all of your questions relating to the language itself at an academic level. The specific theme's I will be able to help you with are: business-related material (I've studied business for two years at a Dutch University, I have a Bachelors degree in Management and am working in some business-related positions), i can help with applying for a job, or talk about arts, science, technology, music, and more.Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
I plan to create the lessons mostly together based on the things that need to be done or area's that require focus. But your requirements will be the leading influence on the choice of material. Offcourse I will have materials that meet your level of learning and with which we can make a start if you have no ideas on this matter. I will try to motivate you to keep studying and keep things interesting as good as I can, but the main motivation to keep studying must come from within yourself.Мой учебный материал

Joost and I had an interesting and stimulating conversation about a film we both watched. It provided useful practice in exchanging and justifying opinions, while also allowing me to explore and use vocabulary relating to the movie.

Nadat ik intussen voor mijn CNaVT Niveau B2 (STRT) geslaagd ben, kan ik zeker en vast bevestigen dat Joost een goede leraar is. De conversaties met hem zijn altijd leuk maar tegelijkertijd vindt hij ook steeds een weg me uit te dagen, zodat de lessen ook altijd leerzaam zijn. Zijn correcties tijdens de les zijn nauwkeurig en vooral nuttig. Ook de – van mij vereiste – schrijfoefeningen corrigeert hij gewoon zorgvuldig. Aldus blijft me niet meer te schrijven dan dat ik hem graag als leraar voor Nederlands aanbeveel .
