Hello! I'm Heike, and I would love to teach you German! I have an academic background in Ethnology and Archaeology and years ago, my academic path led me to Peru as an archaeologist, where I eventually started teaching German through in-person classes. It was during these classes that I realized my passion for connecting with people by teaching. Transitioning to online classes with italki in 2019 has opened up the world even more to me. Over the years, I've had the privilege of engaging with a wonderful array of learners, enriching my teaching abilities as well as personal skills. In 2023, I moved to Spain, and I am still in the wonderful process of getting to know this vibrant new culture.Показать перевод

As a German teacher, my first priority is to understand your needs and then customize the lessons accordingly, making learning as effective but also as fun and entertaining as possible. Beginners enjoy a step-by-step approach often with a lot of humor, while advanced students dive into lively discussions and grammar challenges. I'm passionate about motivating and connecting with each learner, weaving German culture and current insights into our lessons. In my classes, I love to use structured methods with a variety of tools and an accompanying Google Document.
- Course A has its focus on grammar but also includes conversation elements, suitable for A1+ levels.
- Course B, suitable for A2+, covers cultural, literary, and daily conversations.
- Course C, designed for business students (A1-C1), focuses on grammar and professional dialogue, with optional exam prep.
My adaptable teaching includes interactive applications, real-world examples, and emphasizes continuous learning through homework and reviews. Open communication, regular feedback, and cultural immersion are key. Join me for an effective, enjoyable German learning experience!Мой учебный материал

Heiki is an excellent teacher who takes the time to explain sometimes complicated German grammar rules in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. I have to admit that before I started to learn German I was slightly put off by the complexity of the grammar but not anymore. I fully recommend Heiki to anyone who wants to learn German in a relaxed, fun manner.

Seit dreieinhalb Jahren bringt mir Heike wöchentlich Deutsch bei. Heike ist immer pünktlich, gut gelaunt, geduldig und bereitet sich immer gut auf die Stunde vor. Ihre strukturierten Unterrichtsstunden haben mir sehr geholfen, meine Ziele zu erreichen.

Heike is a fantastic teacher, one of the best I've ever had in any foreign language. She comes prepared with ideas and excellent materials for every lesson, uses Google Docs to document corrections, explains things clearly, and is very dynamic and fun to talk to. I am thoroughly enjoying my sessions with her and would highly recommend her as a teacher.
