Maura

I just completed the most wonderful lesson with Maura. It was lively and fun. I also learned so much. Maura guided me through exercises that were completely new to me. They were challenging but when we had completed the work, I knew that I had begun to use a broader approach to thinking in Italian and expressing these thoughts in phrases. I plan to work through these and other exercises in our next lessons. Thank you so much, Maura.

I have chatting with Maura weekly for eight months. I was so nervous when I started because I didn't feel my Italian was good enough for any kind of conversation. But she put me at ease, and is always warm and encouraging. It's a pleasure to chat with her on a great variety of topics. She gives me corrections and helps me find the words I'm looking for in a way that doesn't interrupt the flow of the conversation. Maura is a super teacher and friend.

Maura is truly an excellent teacher, not just for beginners but also for advanced speakers of the language, as she really does shape her lessons around the learner, so that you are able to feel confident and at ease but also able to make great progress at the same time. Unlike other teachers who simply try to plug you into whatever method they’re using, her lessons are truly personalised and very enjoyable!
