Professor Shellwyn

It is always a pleasure to attend classes! I’ve been learning a lot in a very nice environment. Today we practiced pronunciation, expanded vocabulary about the weather and about characteristics of a house, and more.

I believe that Professor Shellwyn possesses her own unique teaching philosophy when it comes to English language instruction. Her resourcefulness, patience, and focus on developing students' communicative competence are particularly noteworthy. While I made many mistakes during her classes, she always assisted me in correcting them and provided guidance on various communicative contexts. Moreover, she is self-aware and understands the importance of not dominating the learning process but rather, affording me the opportunity and time to think and speak by myself.

I love Schellwyn. I felt very comfortable during class, and Schellwyn revealed all of your methodology. I am very excited to start the classes!

Shellwyn is always a well prepared, engaging, and inspiring teacher. She provides customized materials, it really helps me improve my weaknesses. I enjoy every class with her!

My english is improving a lot! Today we studied vocabulary, pronunciation and we had a conversation that was very funny and I was able to speak more! We had also a role play where I was a real estate agent and I learned a lot with that. We reviewed contractions and functional language as well.

It was a great lesson with many activities to practice pronunciation, conversation, studying prepositions and past perfect verb tense. We had a interesting role play activity about renting an apartment. I already had more than 26 lessons and I’ve been learning a lot!! Thank you Prof. Shellwyn!
