Mena

Mean has been more than a language instructor. She taught me Italian culture, history, and shared a few recipes with me. After learning the basics, she focused on the things I wanted to learn. Asking for directions and understanding the responses, asking about items on a menu and for recommendations, and even explaining Italian traffic signs, laws and driving tips. In just a few months, Mena has taken me for knowing zero Italian to a B1 level. I look forward to continuing my Italian journey under Mena’s tutelage.

Mena is an amazing Italian tutor! She is very friendly and patient, has great resources for learning, makes a constant effort to keep the lessons in Italian, and also gives you ample time to speak and think. She is also really flexible with lesson plans, so if you have an idea of the conversation topics or grammar areas you want to work on she is very open to working on those areas. With each lesson, my ability to speak and, more importantly, my confidence increase significantly! Grazie mille, Mena!

I just wanted to have a normal conversation and that's what we did, so it was very good!

Today was my first lesson with Mena. I could not be more pleased. Previously I’ve had lessons for other languages with different teachers. They always made me feel uncomfortable and pressured. Mena was completely the opposite. She made me feel totally comfortable and never embarrassedhh despite my many mistakes. I’m looking forward to future lessons.

Mena is super nice and easy to talk to. I think she has a plan to help me start formulating sentences with the bit of Italian I know as well as help me grow.

She is very nice, and it was a pleasure to converse. I am traveling to Italy soon, and she was patient and let me speak in Italian to practice and asked me questions. Very clearly spoken and helped me if I had questions!
