Hi there! My name is Robert, a 29-year-old South African who holds an Honours degree in Psychology. Alongside my academic background, I am also the proud owner of a restaurant and coffee shop. I have a passion for outdoor activities, sports, and exploring new places. My favorite pastime is wakeboarding and kiteboarding, as I find them to be the ultimate expression of freedom and exhilaration on the water. Having taught English as a foreign language for two years in South Korea and conducted over 1,300 online lessons in the past three years, I have gained a deep appreciation for the challenges of learning a new language. As a result, I am committed to making the process of learning English both engaging and accessible. I believe that conversational learning is the most effective approach to mastering a new language, having experienced its benefits firsthand when learning new languages myself. I prefer a conversational teaching style, where I interact with my students and encourage everyone to learn from each other. This approach helps to build trust and enables students to ask questions they might not otherwise have the confidence to ask. As we discuss various topics, we not only improve our language skills but also gain knowledge about the subject matter. By observing how certain topics are expressed in English, students can deepen their understanding and learn new vocabulary in context.
