I worked for 7 years in an international cultural exchange organization that provided an international voluntary work camp. We also worked with the European Voluntary Service through a partnership with Erasmus Because English was always used with volunteers, I was able to improve my English (learn by doing) and - in the same time - help them learn or improve their French. Then, I started to teach French online more than three years ago.

Please note I DON'T WORK WITH CHILDREN because I don't have the skills to do that... I only accept students from 15yo to 60yo. Thank for your understanding. According to me, teaching can be fun and did in an alive and natural way. Lots of foreign students admitted the academic way could be tedious overtime and when they obtained their degrees, they even couldn't really speak French naturally and fluency. As I learnt English just by experience, I perfectly understand their point of view. And because of that, I like to teach French in an "alive" way.

The method I use is what I call the "living" one. It's indeed through "conversational classes" that you will be able to practice your oral skills, while with the informal tutoring, it will be more focused on the understanding, pronouncing and writing French as it is currently used in France. And all of this in a natural and relaxed way. This doesn't exclude, of course, some practical exercises, such as writing texts, reading or dictation, if the student wishes. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, I will be happy to accompany you throughout your "language odyssey".

Patrick is pleasant and patient. He allowed you to cobble a reply back to him. He provided good feedback. I found the conversation a bit stilted and awkward at points, and his keyboard is quite loud, which caused a bit of distraction while trying to concentrate.

Patrick is such a friendly and helpful teacher. The flow of his classes is very relaxed while still being incredibly instructive. He organically offers corrections and helps with pronunciation in a way that feels collaborative. He clearly has an absolute wealth of experience in helping others learn, generally, and he is intimately familiar with the most efficient and fun ways to learn a language. I have had multiple tutors across several languages, and he is far and away the best. I will absolutely be booking future lessons through him.
