This is my 15th lesson with まりこ先生 and she is excellent. She is really good at explaining grammar and the fundamentals of speaking. She gives practical examples and let's you figure out stuff for yourself without feeling rushed or stressed out if you make a mistake. Mariko-sensei is also a very visual person so she's able to show you the sentence structures and colour them in a way that makes sense if that helps you learn. She listens and is very encouraging while letting you practice your Japanese in a welcoming environment. If you want to get strong fundamentals or even fill in any knowledge gaps, Mariko sensei is an excellent teacher.

Continued chatting about Japanese culture, in particular, Restaurants and Cafes. Mariko writes down vocabulary on a Google Document so I can copy to my Anki after each lesson which is super helpful for remembering words and sentences. Thanks as always Mariko 😊

Really fun to talk to and amazing conversation partner and teacher!

This was my 60th and last lesson with Mariko, due to her starting on a new career path. We always had fun lessons and I always looked forward to talking with her. She is a great teacher, but most of all a great and kind person. 真梨子先生、本当にありがとうございました！真梨子さんは毎レッスンでは優しくて役立ったのでたくさん学びました。真梨子さんのおかげで僕の日本語のレベルを上げました。ありがとうございました！

Mariko hilft mir bei genau den Themen die ich in einem Buch nicht lernen kann. Sprache und Land verstehen und nicht nur anwenden. Dabei bringt sie immer wenn es passt auch noch sprachlich etwas neues ein um selbst bei Themen die man schon versteht weiter etwas neues zu lernem.

Auch heute war die Stunde mit Mariko wieder einfach sehr lehrreich weil sie es schafft, aufzuzeigen was man zwar in einem Schulbuch lernt aber das was man dann benutzt, doch etwas ganz anderes sein kann.
