I've been working with Michael for 15 months now, and I can say with confidence that finding Michael has been the single greatest asset to my French learning journey. I just returned from my most recent trip to France, and my first time in France since starting my lessons with Michael. My interactions with the locals were so much more fluid and natural than on any previous trip, and my confidence was immeasurably higher. This is all thanks to my weekly conversations with Michael. Through his patience and encouragement, he makes me feel comfortable thinking and speaking in French. I still make mistakes, but I am no longer afraid to make mistakes, because I know that I can still make myself understood. Because Michael speaks naturally with me, I understood native speakers in day-to-day conversation. Because he asks me challenging questions, I was able to adapt to whatever situations arose in order to express myself. Meet with Michael! You won't regret it.

I feel so lucky I found Michael here on Italki. He is patient and shows interest to every word I say. As I am trying to make complete sentences, whether it is right or wrong, he is simultaneously making notes on his end all my errors (which I have alot) for me to review at a later time. His method of teaching is A+. I always look forward to his class. Give him a try.

Michael is an awesome tutor. He strikes me as a naturally curious person and genuinely nice guy. We have interesting conversations on a wide range of topics, and there's never any awkward silences. Our lessons seem to fly by. I also appreciate that he gives me (much-needed) corrections without disrupting the rhythm of the conversation. He's one of my favorite tutors on italki!

Cela fait plus de deux ans que je prends des cours de conversation avec Michael, et cela m'a énormément aidée à améliorer mon niveau de français à l'oral pendant les périodes où j'étais plus investie dans mon apprentissage, ainsi qu'à maintenir ce niveau lorsque j'avais moins de motivation. En plus de cela, ces cours m'ont permis de rester en contact avec la société et la culture françaises, ce que je trouve extrêmement important. Michael est quelqu'un avec qui il est très facile de parler. Même si je fais des erreurs, je ne me sens jamais stressée pendant nos cours. Nous discutons de sujets très variés, et les échanges sont toujours intéressants, agréables et stimulants. J'apprécie également beaucoup sa manière de corriger mes erreurs : c'est toujours efficace et pertinent. Je le recommande vivement à toute personne qui souhaite progresser en français à l'oral dans une ambiance à la fois conviviale et stimulante.
