I own and run a travel operating company in South Africa that curates travel packages for travelers all over the world. I have been teaching English online for the past five years. I have enough experience to ensure that all my classes are well conducted. I understand classroom dynamics, individuality in students as well as the various ways of catering to the needs of every student. I have completed the 120 hour TEFL course, therefore I understand what it takes to teach English as a foreign language.

I use a variety of teaching materials during my lessons, for example flash cards to associate words with pictures. I always ensure that I get to know my students so that our classes are fun, free and engaging. I’m a backend developer and so far I have taken more than 60 lessons with Shirley. I’m improving my English in many ways, such as listening and speaking skills as well as my writing and I feel much more comfortable applying for international jobs. I really recommend her for those IT professionals who want to improve their communication skills. She was able to assist me in job hunting and improving my LinkedIn profile to be more desirable for tech recruiters and headhunters.
