So far, I have had 75 lessons for conversation practice with Vito Chen. He is an excellent teacher and is an expert at asking questions to keep the conversation going. In every lesson I learn new vocabulary and review grammar structures, too. Although he is serious about teaching, his style is light-hearted, easy going and friendly. I really appreciate that about him. Because he is so easy to talk to and I feel like I'm always learning, I enjoy every lesson. 非常谢谢陈老师！

Vito is fun and likable, with great teaching skills. He tailors the lessons to my son's level; he is engaging, and understanding, and he covers a lot of different topics. Did I mention that Vito's punctuality is AMAZING? I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants to learn Mandarin!

Every week I really look forward to my lesson with Vito. It's always enjoyable and he makes sure to work previous vocabulary and grammatical structures into our lesson topics while adding new vocabulary or grammar each week as well. He is always patient and supportive and I was able to learn enough Mandarin to be able to visit Beijing this summer and navigate the city on my own. It was an amazing experience!

His teaching style flows naturally: he explained split verbs, the nuances of "le," and situational uses of "or" in ways that actually stuck. What impressed me most was how he typed every new word, phrase, and grammar point directly into the chat during our conversation, creating a personalized reference I could revisit immediately. Vito keeps conversations engaging while remaining patient and encouraging. He even offered thoughtful guidance beyond the lesson—recommending I consider a Taiwanese tutor since I'm planning to move to Taiwan. Two suggestions for an already excellent experience: a post-lesson PDF summarizing new vocabulary/grammar, and audio recordings for pronunciation practice would make his lessons even more valuable.
