Chisa-san was very encouraging and personable to speak with. In her trial lesson I could see that she was taking notes on our conversation and was able to guide our conversation towards things I enjoy talking about. We did free conversation and it was not ever awkward or uncomfortable. Chisa-san is friendly and a great teacher!

Chisa-san excellently gauged where my Japanese stands by speaking fully in Japanese using simple grammar. I appreciate the effort Chisa-sansei put into understanding where my Nihongo is, to help me, while also understanding my goals. She kindly drafted a review for me to review the lessons I knew, as I have stopped learning for 7 months, and it was very interactive. She made me comfortable enough to try even if I make mistakes, she was also patient with me when I was trying to remember/think and gave me the time I needed. She corrected me kindly and explained 'why' certain words may make 'more sense' and are 'less awkward' in native Japanese, even if the grammar is correct, which I really appreciate. I almost missed my class (wrong timing) and she still accommodated me so kindly (I'm sorry Chisa-sensei!) -- Thank you so much! I look forward to learning with Chisa sensei! She's very kind and smart. I will put more effort into reviewing and studying with you. ほんとうにありがとうございました！

Chisa sensei facilitates the class very well! We get through so much during the class, and she always reviews my work and provides feedback too. I thoroughly enjoyed our class today and benefited so much. I look forward to our future classes. She gives me sooooo much care and is always very encouraging :) I’m so glad I found her!

I highly recommend Chisa sensei to any one who wishes to learn Japanese, especially if they are a native English speaker. Her English is very good and her command of the English langue is more that adequate.
