Merhaba, I’m Tamer!
If you haven’t yet, please watch my introduction video to know more about me. If you have, then let me tell you more about myself.
I’m a man of logic and this has shaped my life so far. Illogical things baffle me and I really have hard time to figure them out. When I learn new things, I tend to believe that there should always be a logic behind it. This tendency helped me a lot with languages in general but with Turkish, it absolutely became an obsession. As a native speaker and a turcologist, I got the chance to discover the logic of Turkish and it developed me in my field since it is easier to teach something when you understand it thoroughly.Показать перевод

I am a caring teacher. I do care about your needs in your learning process.
Teaching Turkish is my business so I am always after improving my service quality and am always open to criticism. You should never hesitate to tell me what you don’t like about our lessons. Remember, you’re the boss here!
My feedbacks are always honest. If you did good, I will give you that. If you did bad, I won’t mention it because life itself is quite stressful and I don’t want your hobby to cause trouble to you. We cannot learn when we stress anyway, can we?Мои уроки и стиль преподавания
After years of experience, I’ve created my own curriculum to teach you the Turkish language and its grammar the most effective way possible. In this curriculum, quite literally, every step is crucial and I do not go further before I make sure you get everything right. In Kazakh, to learn and to get used to are the same verb. So yes, I will be keep giving homeworks on the lacking subjects that I spot until you get used to, ahem, learn them. And wait, no, I am not teaching Kazakh but Turkish. You're not on the wrong profile! It was just a cool example to justify my hard homeworks.

In my master studies, we examined Turkic languages and Turkish grammar thoroughly. For my master thesis, I compared the vocabulary of the first Kazakh nowel with the first Ottoman Turkish dictionary.

Lecturer of Turkish LanguageI’ve taught Turkish to foreign learners in a classroom and gained a fantastic teaching experience. Some students had different levels than the others and I taught them individually. While teaching individually, I started to be convinced that these individual classes could have been held online.

The class was fantastic, we discussed Turkic languages and some of its’ older languages. I had some grammar questions on things that aren’t easily understandable but Tamer explained them all extremely well. I continue to be astounded at the progress I’m making in these classes. It’s been three weeks and I’ve advanced more than in the last three months.

Tamer takes a truly innovative and holistic approach to his teaching methodology that is genuinely impressive. As someone who has has been studying Turkish for a while, I can genuinely say that I wish that I started with him from the beginning of learning Turkish, since his methodology makes language learning fun and engaging.

After meeting with Tamer for 20+ times, this is how I would summarize my experience: if you're looking for a teacher who will stretch your mind while at the same time giving you all they can and, even more importantly, make Turkish "real" in your mind and not just a collection of sentences in a book, look no further. Looking forward to the rest of my Turkish journey.
