I've been taking weekly lessons with Kelly for over a year now and I couldn't recommend her more. In the time I've been in her class, my confidence in speaking mandarin has grown by so much. Our conversations range from ordinary discussions about our lives to topics I never thought I would be able to discuss, like artificial intelligence and philosophy. She strikes a great balance between correcting me when I make mistakes and encouraging me to talk naturally - letting me experiment with the vocabulary and grammar I know and really push the boundaries of what I am capable of. I always leave her lessons happy and energized to keep learning more :)

Kelly has been instrumental in my growth as a Chinese language learner. Prior to taking lessons with Kelly, I was primarily self-studying but wasn't getting much speaking practice. Through her conversational classes I've been gradually getting better at speaking Chinese idiomatically and have also increased my vocabulary. I've gotten a lot of practice through discussing a plethora of topics ranging from travel, Chinese Culture, tv shows, book summaries, conversational topics from HSK, and day to day life topics. Kelly's strong grasp of English has also been helpful especially during times when I've had to fallback to English because I couldn't figure out to express myself properly in Chinese. Lastly, Kelly has a positive attitude and is patient when I struggle to understand some of the things she was teaching me. Taking classes with Kelly has been a joy! 谢谢老师！

Today I finished 30 lessons with teacher Kelly, and I would like to write this review for all the beginners checking Kelly’s page and her students’ reviews right now. Kelly is always attentive and supportive. She is an excellent teacher, very passionate, friendly, punctual, and helps you feel at ease during the class. I started the lessons with a ZERO knowledge of Chinese. Nevertheless, I have greatly expanded my vocabulary alongside my speaking and listening ability. I’m enjoying the process of learning Chinese, and I have even become more interested in it because of Kelly! I would highly recommend her, especially for beginners. 谢谢Kelly 老师。 我们明天见！

Kelly is a fantastic language teacher. Over the past two years, she's helped me achieve a level of confidence in speaking and listening that has made me comfortable talking to anyone in Mandarin. Her lessons are always so fun, and she does a great job suggesting conversation topics and materials that align with my interests.
